Ado is heading to Manila next year.
On October 24, the anonymous Japanese singer-songwriter announced that she is set to hold her second world tour ‘Hibana’ in 2025, including a date in Manila. The tour’s announcement coincided with Ado’s 22nd birthday.
This follows Ado’s first world tour ‘Wish,’ which she similarly announced on her birthday last 2023. It happened earlier this year, lasting from February until April 2024. “If my first world tour embodied my ‘Wish,’ then my second will ignite the spark I want to light in the world,” she declared in a press statement. “I named this tour ‘Hibana,’ meaning ‘spark’ in Japanese, to carry my heritage with me on this journey. I aim to show my growth since the ‘Wish’ tour and deliver my best performances yet.”
Presented by Crunchyroll, the ‘Hibana’ world tour will kick off this April 2025 with two dates in Japan at the Saitama Super Arena. It will then be followed by dates in Bangkok, Manila, Taipei, Seoul, Hong Kong, and Singapore for the Asia leg, before moving to Sydney and Melbourne for the Australia leg. After this Ado will also hold multiple dates of the tour across Europe and the United Kingdom before concluding with multiple dates across North and South America.
The Manila date of the tour is set to happen on May 8, 2025 (Thursday) at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. For tickets, Crunchyroll users will have access to a special presale this November 19 (Tuesday) at 10:00 AM (PHT) using the code “CrunchyrollxAdo” here. Following this, general sale of tickets will then open this November 22 (Friday) at 10:00 AM (PHT). Further general sale ticketing details will be announced at a later date. Officially debuting in 2020, Ado is known for hiding her identity from the public, performing her live shows shrouded in darkness and often represented by animé-like illustrations of her supposed likeness in multiple media. She is best known for such hits as “踊” (Odo), “唱” (Show), “Usseewa,” “RuLe,” and more. Her sophomore album Zanmu was released last July 10.
She has notably collaborated with LE SSERAFIM for the Japanese version of the K-pop girl group’s track “UNFORGIVEN,” as well as provided the theme songs for popular animé such as One Piece Film: Red and Spy x Family. She is also the producer of the J-pop idol group Phantom Siita, who debuted last June 26 with the single “Otomodachi.”
