Though this marks their official reunion as a group, this isn’t the first time that the four members have performed together in recent years. In 2022, Sandara Park, Park Bom, and Minzy joined leader CL on stage at the latter’s Coachella slot under 88rising to perform their 2011 hit “I Am The Best” to the surprise of the festival’s audience.
2NE1 officially debuted under YG Entertainment on May 17, 2009, with their hit single “FIRE,” which established them as one of the most prolific K-pop girl groups in history. Throughout their time together, the group was able to release a string of hit tracks that included “I Am The Best,” “COME BACK HOME,” “Lonely,” and “I Don’t Care,” up until the departure of Minzy in 2016. Eventually, the remaining members released their final track “Goodbye” in 2017 before disbanding permanently.
