SB19‘s Stell has finally released his long-awaited extended play, titled Room.
The five-track record demonstrates the versatility of his talents –– with quite a diverse array of sonic and vocal influences spread throughout the tracklist of the EP. From the anthemic 80s, Michael Jackson-esque type of sound to a more somber set of ballads, Room is a fantastic display of Stell’s capabilities as one of the defining vocalists of the new generation.
Beyond working with fellow SB19 member Pablo and his brother Joshua Daniel Nase (both of whom comprise the production/musical duo RADKIDZ), the rest of the project features special collaborations with National Artist Ryan Cayabyab, alongside international artists Eric Nam and Max Schneider.
As told by the 29-year-old himself in the latest episode of Billboard Philippines‘ Volumes podcast, Ryan Cayabyab served as the co-producer and sole writer of the track “Di Ko Masabi”, while Schneider and Nam lent their musical expertise to help in co-writing “Classic” with Stell himself. “Di Ko Masabi” will also have a special music video released later this month on August 17, 2024, and will drop at 7 PM (PHST.)
Since signing with Warner Music Philippines for his solo endeavors, the vocal powerhouse immediately gave his fans a glimpse of his sound with the EP’s title track –– which immediately made waves across the local music scene. Just recently, he also performed alongside fellow vocalist Julie Anne San Jose for their joint ‘Julie X Stell: Ang Ating Tinig’ concert series. Now that the full record is out in the world, listeners and fans can discover the stell-ar display of talents that he can bring forth into this world.
