This month, Kitchie Nadal is ready to break new ground with another major solo concert.

Happening this June 21, 2025 (Saturday), the Filipino pop rock veteran is set to headline the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City for the very first time, bringing with her all-new arrangements and renditions of fan-favorite classics, as well as other surprises in store. As the esteemed rock hitmaker celebrates more than two decades of her solo career, it’s time to prepare to sing your hearts out with countless other fans at the Big Dome.

To help you do so, Billboard Philippines has curated eight songs from Kitchie Nadal to help you get ready for a night of celebrating the singer’s enduring impact and influence as one of OPM’s most celebrated rock icons.

“Breathe”

There is no better way look back on Kitchie Nadal’s legacy than with her solo effort that started it all — her self-titled debut album, released in 2004. And, what better way to do so than with the song’s opening track, “Breathe.”

The emotive song, which captures the feelings of longing for a love now gone, perfectly encapsulates the artist Nadal has been known for, punctuated by her introspective lyricism, soaring guitar melodies, and unmistakable vocal timbre.

“Same Ground”

As Kitchie Nadal treads new musical territory with her upcoming concert, it’s only fitting to look back on her journey with the inclusion of “Same Ground” on this list. Undeniably, it is one of the singer-songwriter’s biggest and most timeless songs, notable for its emotional instrumentals and reflective lyrics tackling regret and remorse over making the difficult decision of letting go of a significant other.

“Bulong”

If we’re talking Kitchie Nadal classics, “Bulong” definitely has to be on your playlist.

Here, Nadal takes a motivational approach in terms of lyricism, as the song’s catchy rock instrumentals are backed by its theme of inspiring the listener to get up, push forward, and overcome whatever life throws at you. The song was recently reimagined by Nadal just last May and we recommend you to go listen to that version.

“Run”

Speaking of reimagined fan-favorites, you should also give a listen to this 2025 rendition of “Run.” Another song originally taken from Nadal’s debut, this track is notable for its groovy instrumentals as well as its lyrics somewhat playfully aggressive lyrics tackling a love in ambiguity.

“Majika”

Serving as the theme song of the 2006 Filipino fantasy series of the same name, “Majika” is another inspirational single from Nadal. It explores the theme of finding hope or believing in the “magic” of a better tomorrow and leaving behind the darkness of yesterday.

“Deliverance”

On the topic of hope, “Deliverance” is another such song from Kitchie Nadal. Notable for it’s catchy, electric guitar-driven instrumentals, “Deliverance” explores the perspective of someone who is letting go their past and negative habits, as they run towards a brighter future, thanks to a certain someone, implied to be God, that has helped them in breaking their destructive patterns.

“Makulay Na Buhay”

Taken from the 2007 EP Drama Queen, “Makulay Na Buhay” is another guitar-driven, laidback track from Kitchie Nadal. It touches on finding someone who brings a special kind of light to the colorful experience that is life, as one navigates its ups and downs with resolve.

“Huwag Na Huwag Mong Sasabihin”

Of course, there’s no better way to cap this list off than with, undeniably, the biggest Kitchie Nadal hit there is.

With its emotionally-charged singing and instrumentals, “Huwag Na Huwag Mong Sasabihin” dives into the scenario of a relationship falling apart, as one wants the other to love someone else, while the other (the singer), even in the face of letting go, pleads with them and asks them to not say that they’ve never felt loved in the relationship.

The song’s lyrics and the whole track itself remain timeless to this day, and is definitely one that you should watch out for as Kitchie Nadal takes on the Big Dome later this month.
