BABYMETAL are finally coming to the Philippines.

After first achieving global recognition around 10 years ago, the kawaii metal pioneers are officially heading to Manila for the first time ever. Their inaugural concert in the Philippines is set to happen on October 8, 2025 (Wednesday) at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. As the trio — composed of SU-METAL, MOAMETAL, and MOMOMETAL — make their debut on the Philippine concert stage, it’s time to get ready to mosh and headbang by listening to their songs.

With this, Billboard Philippines has put together a list of tracks from BABYMETAL that you should add to your playlist ahead of the show this week.

“Head Bangya!!”

To kick things off strong, let’s start with a classic. Released on July 4, 2021, “”Head Bangya!!” or “Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!” is the 12th track on BABYMETAL’s self-titled debut album. With its lyrics detailing someone being excited to go to a concert for the first time in their youth, it’s the perfect song to begin this list, as its haunting and heavy-hitting instrumentals are sure to get you, well, headbanging along.

“KARATE”

Up next, we have fan-favorite song from the group’s sophomore album, Metal Resistance. Released as a single on February 26, 2016, “KARATE” is an inspirational song about not giving up in the face of life’s challenges no matter what, with its heavy and emotive instrumentals driving home this message of perseverance even further.

“PA PA YA!!”

Following this, we have “PA PA YA!!,” released as a single from BABYMETAL’s third full-length record Metal Galaxy on June 28, 2019. With Thai rapper F.Hero featuring on the track, the song is about, well, the papaya fruit. Specifically, a papaya salad in Thai cuisine.

This fun and energetic track is summery and festive in more ways than one, contrasted with it heavy nu metal elements to make it a track from the group you should definitely look forward to at their first Manila concert.

“Gimme Chocolate!!”

Songs about food is not something new in BABYMETAL’s discography. Take their international breakthrough song “Gimme Chocolate!!” for example, which is the third track from the group’s debut album. As its title implies, it’s a song about obsessing over and wanting chocolate, perfectly exemplifying the fun and playful side of the kawaii metal genre while bringing in a heavy dose of thrash metal for its instrumentals.

“RATATATA”

Up next, we have one of BABYMETAL’s biggest collaboration songs, “RATATATA.” Released as a single from the group’s latest full-length record Metal Forth, this track sees BABYMETAL teaming up with German electronicore favorites Electric Callboy, resulting in a heavy party anthem that will surely push you to the limit and get you dancing all night long.

“Road of Resistance”

Speaking of collaborations, the next song on this list is “Road To Resistance” — the opening track to Metal Resistance. Anthemic and defiant as its title implies, this song notably sees guest appearances from guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman of power metal icons Dragonforce, making it feel like the perfect song to charge into battle or into the circle pit with.

“Megitsune”

Finally, to cap off this list, we have one of BABYMETAL’s biggest songs ever — “Megitsune,” which is the fifth single from BABYMETAL’s debut album. Directly translated as “female fox,” the details the theme of women standing strong in the face of hardships, misconceptions, and misguided expectations that society, particularly men, have of them.
