V and Park Hyo Shin have made a statement with their joint holiday single.
The BTS member and South Korean balladeer have entered the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 with their latest festive drop, “Winter Ahead,” at No. 41 (dated December 14). The track expertly blends the pair’s rich and velvety voices, crafting an unforgettable and cozy winter experience through song.
The holiday tune premiered last November 29, being the first of two Christmas classics that the BTS member would release this year. Last December 6, the K-pop icon debuted his collaborative work with the late legend, Bing Crosby — a soulful rendition of “White Christmas.”
This marks V’s first entry into the Billboard Philippines Hot 100, following his fellow members’ respective debuts on the Philippine charts in the past. Jin’s solo feature, “Running Wild” stands at No. 13 after previously peaking at No. 9, while Jimin’s “Who” is currently taking up the 24th slot after peaking at No. 10.
For the renowned Korean singer-songwriter, Park Hyo Shin, on the other hand, this track marks his first musical release since his 2019 single, “LOVER.”
The Billboard Philippines Hot 100 ranks the biggest songs in the country, based on streaming data (both audio and video) collected by data provider Luminate. The chart encompasses tracks by both Filipino and international acts. The Hot 100 is one of Billboard Philippines‘ official music charts, alongside the Top Philippine Songs chart. Both charts are updated weekly every Wednesday.
