Pop-alternative band Cup of Joe has become the most-streamed Filipino music group on Spotify Philippines for the first time.

As of November 19, the band ranked atop on the Spotify Philippines Daily Top OPM (Original Pilipino Music) Groups, surpassing Ben&Ben. The latter spent its 697th day at number one only the day prior, just a month short of spending two calendar years occupying the top spot.

Moreover, Cup of Joe climbed several spots to become the number two Filipino music act overall, second only behind Hev Abi on the Spotify Philippines Daily Top OPM Artists. It also entered the top 10 of the Spotify Philippines Top Artists for the first time, charting at number eight.

The six-piece band has since reacted to its latest achievement on the Spotify charts.

“From jamming in our school to topping charts – overwhelmed and grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it,” Cup of Joe posted on social media, further adding that their music is not limited to commercial success but nonetheless expressed gratitude to its fans for making their recent success happen.

“While we understand that our music and identity as artists shouldn’t be solely defined by numbers, we want to express our gratitude for achieving these unexpected milestones. We’re now the Top 1 OPM band, Top 2 OPM artist, and part of the Top 10 on Spotify PH.”

Cup of Joe concluded its post by thanking the members’ families, friends, and loyal fanbase known as Joewahs.

“Thanks to all our FAMILIES, FRIENDS, and JOEWAHS! It’s crazy! We wouldn’t be here without your love and unending support. So, here’s to you – the reason behind our tunes. You’ve made us the most streamed OPM group on Spotify, and we’re forever thankful. More songs, more memories, and more moments with you. Let’s keep this music journey going!”
