The Chainsmokers and Halsey have officially entered the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 for the first time ever.
On January 28, 2026, Billboard Philippines revealed its chart rankings for the week of January 31, 2026. On the Philippines Hot 100, a significant new entry comes in the form of The Chainsmokers and Halsey’s “Closer” as it makes its debut on the chart at No. 78.
Released on July 29, 2016, “Closer” is recognized as The Chainsmokers’ biggest song ever, gaining massive success and rapid popularity immediately soon after its release. The song, which also gained consistent airplay in the Philippines in 2016, has since found renewed widespread lisenership among Filipinos in 2026, mostly due to the popularity of the “2016” thread of looking back on one’s old photos, videos, and memories from 2016.
For the Billboard Philippines Hot 100’s top 10 this week, fitterkarma continue their hold on the No. 1 spot with “Pag-Ibig Ay Kanibalismo II.” followed fitterkarma’s “Kalapastangan” at No. 2 and Cup of Joe’s “Multo” at No. 3. After them are El Manu’s “Tahanan” at No. 4 and SIENNA SPIRO’s “Die On This Hill At No. 5.
Meanwhile, Olivia Dean’s “So Easy (To Fall In Love)” is at No. 6, followed by Kyle Raphael’s “Libu-Libong Buwan” at No. 7 and Olivia Dean’s “Man I Need” at No. 8. Lastly, closing off the chart’s top 10 this week are Soapdish’s “Tensionado” at No. 9 and sombr’s “back to friends” at No. 10.
