On the week of October 11, 2025, Filipino rap hitmakers HELLMERRY and Baby G have entered the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 at the No. 82 spot with “Gangsta Baby.” Originally released as part of the former’s 2024 album BLUEDVL, the track is seeing a newfound popularity as it was used in a viral post of a photo where a couple is being hauled away while still holding hands by the police during the Luneta Park Rally last September 21.
This would be HELLMERRY’s second entry on the chart following his Filipino Music Awards-nominated hit, “My Day,” which is positioned at the No. 22 spot of the Hot 100. The track had previously peaked at the No. 4 position and continues to circulate on the chart for thirty-nine weeks and counting.
As aforementioned, this follows the recent announcement of HELLMERRY’s nomination for the ‘Hip-Hop Song of the Year’ Award at the forthcoming Filipino Music Awards this October. In this category, the rapper is nominated alongside fellow hip-hop talents Hev Abi, Morobeats, Zae, Robledo Timido, and Waiian. Read more about it here.
