This week, Gloc-9 has entered the Billboard Philippines Top Philippine Songs.

On September 10, 2025, Billboard Philippines revealed its chart rankings for the week of September 13, 2025. For the Top Philippine Songs, a new entry comes in the form of Gloc-9’s “Upuan” as it makes it debut on the chart at No. 23. In addition to this, it has entered the Billboard Philippines Hot 100, achieving an initial ranking of No. 40.

Released June 22, 2009, “Upuan” served as the first single from the Filipino rap icon’s 4th album Matrikula. Featuring singer Jeazell Grutas of rock band Zelle, the song’s title, which translates to “Chair” in English, is a symbolism for corrupt politicians seated in power, juxtaposed against the people they are meant to serve who are living in poverty. Because of these themes, the song has recently found a widespread resurgence in listenership and usage online, following ongoing issues of ghost flood control projects worth billions in the Philippines.

For the top 10 of the Billboard Philippines Top Philippine Songs this week, Cup of Joe’s “Multo” and December Avenue’s “Saksi Ang Langit” maintain their hold on the No. 1 and No. 2 spots respectively. They are immediately followed by Soapdish’s “Tensionado” as it moves to No. 3 this week, as well as Le John’s “Naiilang” at No. 4 and Maki’s “Kahel Na Langit” at No. 5.
