“Tongue Tied” – The Ransom Collective

After years of pursuing solo projects and being geographically apart, the peak Wanderland era’s most beloved indie-folk sextet has returned with “Tongue Tied,” and its opening harmony alone instantly brings one back to the open field of Circuit Manila, or at least, a packed Route 196. Showcasing bossa nova-esque guitars and lush instrumentation, growth is apparent in this track, but it still reminds us of The Ransom Collective’s greatest strength — the variety of voices in the band, each of which sound amazing individually and together. It is 2016 all over again, after all. – Jason Caballa, Managing Editor

“Carla’s Song” – Harry Styles

The track that closes Harry Styles’ Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally., “Carla’s Song” is a home run that hits all the right notes. It has everything you could ask for in a Harry Styles song. Serving as a companion to Styles’ mega-hit, “As It Was,” this track captures the highs and lows of his fourth record — searching for love, feeling liberated through dancing, and experiencing the sheer power of music. In an interview with Zane Lowe, Styles says the song was inspired by a close friend who had only just discovered Paul Simon. There’s always going to be that irreplaceable feeling of hearing music for the first time. It can be transformative — like opening a Pandora’s box that carries us through countless emotions, dimensions, and experiences that are uniquely our own. In many ways, we are all Carla, simply knowing the kind of music we love. — Ralph Regis, Lifestyle Writer

“Unang Halik” — BINI

There’s no better title fitting for BINI’s latest single “Unang Kilig,” given that it evokes the same sweet sensation as its very own meaning. On the track, the Nation’s Girl Group return to their bubblegum pop roots, one that fits into the core ‘BINI’ formula — one that lures you in with its bright melodies, relatable romantic themes, and an infectious chorus designed for replay. It’s yet another clear example of delivering what BINI does best, which is undoubtedly pure pop joy. — Gabriel Saulog, Lead Writer

“Traffic” – James Reid

Relatable to anyone who was giddy to get home after a long day, only to get stuck in standstill traffic on EDSA, James Reid’s latest single is dedicated to everyone out there that’s already stressed and tired and still have to brave the commute home. Serving as the singer-songwriter’s first release of 2026, “Traffic” is an upbeat, hopeful pop track that offer listeners a catchy melody to ride as you slowly make your way through city streets. With its infectious rhythm, this new single — accompanied by an equally feel-good music video — turns the frustration of gridlock into a moment of optimism, reminding listeners that even in the middle of chaos, there’s always something to look forward to at the end of the road. — Franchesca Basbas, Digital Editor

“Say Yes” — beabadoobee

Beabadoobee’s contribution to War Child Records’ HELP(2) charity album, “Say Yes,” is a cover of Elliott Smith, who has been highly influential to the Iloilo-born singer-songwriter. With her tender vocals that bring her own flair to the track, the song is bare and raw, looking both toward better days and longing for a past lover. Heartbreaking songs have become a staple of Beabadoobee’s repertoire, and this cover only adds to that list, where we spend hours and hours just listening to the songs that let us feel things. — Ralph Regis

“BUZZIN'” – B.I ft. Coogie, GRAY

Korean hip-hop acts B.I, Coogie, and GRAY’s newest collaborative single “BUZZIN'” is a slick, feel-good hip-hop track that smoothly cruises you into the weekend. Described to be a track where “three extreme introverts came together and pretended to be the most extroverted one,” the song leans into a playful sense of confidence, pairing GRAY’s glossy, groove-driven production with B.I’s charismatic flow and Coogie’s relaxed yet rhythmic verse. Short, catchy, and effortlessly replay-able, “BUZZIN'” is the kind of track that feels tailor-made for nighttime drives, city lights, and the thrill of going with the flow. — Franchesca Basbas

“Burial” – Anne Hathaway

Fictional pop stars are no strangers to delivering undeniable pop hits (e.g. Miley Cyrus as Hannah Montana and Ashley O), but Anne Hathaway does something ultimately different with the haunting track “Burial.” Co-written by Hathaway herself alongside pop hitmakers like Jack Antonoff, Charli XCX, and The 1975’s George Daniel, this dark-pop anthem is moody, broody, and surprisingly sensual — acting as the perfect teaser for what many fans and audiences alike can expect from the Academy Award winning actress’s highly anticipated film, Mother Mary, and its accompanying soundtrack. — Gabriel Saulog
