It’s June, which means that it’s Pride Month! During this time of the year, everyone around the Philippines comes together to stage community events that celebrate inclusivity and diversity for the LGBTQ+ community.
From photo exhibitions to Chappell Roan tribute nights, there’s plenty for anyone and everyone to check out around the country. Whether you find yourself in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, or Cagayan de Oro, there are plenty of events that showcase the different colored hues of the rainbow.

How Inequality Looks Like: Photo Exhibit
Where: SM CDO Downtown
When: June 3-8

This June 3 to 8, various government and non-government organizations banded together to stage a meaningful photo exhibit at the Fifth Level, Sky Park of SM CDO Downtown in Cagayan de Oro Pride, as part of the city’s Pride celebrations. According to the city’s gender and development office, the exhibit “showcases powerful stories of resilience and strength and highlights the pervasive impact of discrimination,” where attendees can “witness the powerful narratives and the urgent need for equality in our society.”
Surftown Pride
Where: San Juan, La Union
When: June 6-9

Surftown Pride is back for another week of events for Pride. Surftown Pride kicks off this June 6 with a party at Flotsam and Jetsam Hostel, with events like a Ballroom workshop, pride parade, drag show, open mics, coffee talks, block parties, and the like happening for the rest of the weekend. God Save The Queers, Bless The Badings

Tickets: Free, highly encouraged to bring food and drinks for potluck
That Elephant Party, in collaboration with the British Council and INFERNO LONDON, are holding a month-long exhibit showcasing the existence of queer faith in alternative spaces. The exhibit kicks off this June 7 with karaoke and a potluck, where attendees can experience different sculptures, video works, and other media from 30+ LGBTQ+ Filipino and English artists.
Proud and Loud
Where: Milenya Bar, Marikina

Local indie production house Calm Chaos Productions is hosting Proud and Loud, a gig that aims to be “a vibrant celebration of diversity, and unity through music.” According to the production house, “Loud and Proud is a statement of inclusivity, a space where allies and the LGBTQ+ community can celebrate together in harmony.”
Breasties Over Testes: A Breast Appreciation And Awareness Day
Where: Ahka Sari-Sari Space, Cebu City
When: June 8
Tickets: Free
Community events space Ahka Sari-Sari Space will be hosting a breast appreciation and awareness day this June 8, featuring talks from Dr. Marie Angelique Balbutin-Cuizon and drag performer Letina Lyccah on breast health, stories of breast augmentation, and more. The event will also feature an art exhibit, performances from Cebuano artists, and pop-ups. Learn more about the event here.
Drag Make-up Masterclass with SodaPop
Where: Bloq Residences Showroom, Cebu City
When: June 8

Cebuano drag collective Haus of Rena1ssance will be organizing a drag make-up masterclass, where attendees can learn and practice the various techniques of drag make-up. Tickets are priced at P850 for the early bird rate. Check out more details here.
Pride Drag Brunch
Where: Butterboy PH, 81 Basa, Quezon City

Butterboy is holding their first of many drag brunch events this month on June 8 at their store in 81 Basa, Quezon City. This drag brunch will feature performances from Naia Black, Deja, O-A, and Shewarma. They also introduced their Pride-exclusive collection, featuring croissants, quiches, madeleines, pain au chocolat, and more. Buy tickets to the show here.
Chappell Roan Night
Where: Hoesik, Poblacion
When: June 11 and June 22

Sapphic events production house The Sunny Club will be hosting an all-queer Chappell Roan Night at the Hoesik in Poblacion this June 11 and 22. The Sunny Club hosts all-queer and all-sapphic nights at various clubs in the Metro. If you’re a big fan of the Midwest Princess, this event is for you. Learn more about The Sunny Club here.
No Boys Allowed

The Flying Ipis’ No Boys Allowed gig is back and better than ever. This year’s lineup features acts like Flying Ipis, Aia de Leon, Thirds, and Leanne and Naara. This event is strictly for cis women, queer women, and non-binary folk (so no cis and straight men allowed).
Out, Loud, and Proud Drag Pride Fiesta
Where: Filinvest City Event Grounds, Alabang
When: June 15
Tickets: P1,800 to P11,000
One of the year’s biggest drag events brings together the top drag queens of the international and local community, such as Brooke Lynn Hytes, Courtney Act, Detox, Jujubee, Marina Summers, Hannah Conda, Precious Paula Nicole, and more. Tickets are now available via Beyond Events PH.
Kweentuhan: Author’s Talk and Community Open Mic
Where: Mt. Cloud Bookshop, Baguio City
When: June 15
Tickets: Free
Northern Luzon Pride is holding a host of events this Pride Month, with one of them being the Kweentuhan Open Mic at the Mt. Cloud Bookshop. This open mic will feature various LGBTQ+ authors as well as a portion where attendees can participate in an open mic for spoken word, poetry, and more. Follow Northern Luzon Pride for more details.
Para Sa Bading: A Pride Kickoff Party
Where: 123 Block, Mandaluyong City

Cult of Joe (fans of Cup of Joe) and the Any Over Ridleys Community (fans of Any Name’s Okay, The Ridleys, and Over October) have joined forces to host a fundraising gig and film screening at 123 Block. It will be for the benefit of the homeless and elderly gays of Home of Golden Gays Manila.
QUEERLayaan 2024: A Pride Celebration & Art Market
Where: Whitespace Manila, Makati City
When: June 16

Presented by Artego PH and StickerConMNL, QUEERLayaan 2024 brings together more than 300 local queer artists and creators. It will be a day filled with activities such as games and even performances from the likes of Mrs. Tan, Emily Chon, and more.
Love, Laban 2: Quezon City Pride Festival
Where: Quezon Memorial Circle, Quezon City

Last year, the Quezon City Pride Festival was the biggest pride event in Southeast Asia. This year’s event will feature a host of performances from the likes of BINI, Juan Karlos, Elijah Canlas, Nica del Rosario and more.
Pride Got Talent
Where: Baguio Convention & Cultural Center
When: June 22

Baguio’s Tourism Office is hosting this year’s Pride Got Talent, a talent show where anyone can express their skills in visual and performing arts. Although no further details have been announced as of now, they released a full calendar of events for June earlier this month.
A Higher Power: A Pride Special Drag Show
Where: Harolds Evotel Cebu
When: June 29
Tickets: P200
Transcend into a higher plane with the Haus of Rena1ssance’s Higher Power drag show at the Harolds Evotel in Cebu City this June 29. The night will include various drag performances from a number of Cebu’s drag queens. Tickets are priced at P200 and can be bought at the door, on the day of the event.
POPUP, ATE 2024 – The White Block Party
Where: The Pop-Up Katipunan, Quezon City
When: June 30
Tickets: Free
Closing off Pride Month with a bang this year is POPUP, ATE 2024. It will feature performances from some of Filipino drag’s finests such as Ms. Marina Summers, Precious Paula Nicole, M1ss Jade So, and more as well as DJ sets from DJ Ayel Mari and DJ Deej Diaz.
