The Phoenician Scheme is the new film from Wes Anderson, which premiered at the festival. It is his fourth film to premiere there, following Moonrise Kingdom in 2012, The French Dispatch in 2021, and Asteroid City in 2023. The film is a dark espionage comedy set in the 1950s and features an ensemble cast including Benicio del Toro, Mia Threapleton, Michael Cera, Tom Hanks, Riz Ahmed, Bryan Cranston, Richard Ayoade, Scarlett Johansson, Jeffrey Wright, Rupert Friend, Benedict Cumberbatch, Bill Murray, and Willem Dafoe.

In the film, wealthy and ruthless businessman Zsa-zsa Korda (del Toro) appoints his estranged daughter, Liesl (Threapleton), a nun, as the sole heir to his estate. Together, they embark on a journey to save his dying empire while being targeted by scheming tycoons, terrorists, and assassins.

Mina and TWICE are gearing up for their comeback with the highly anticipated fourth full-length album, FOUR, set for release this July. It marks their first full album since Formula of Love: O+T=<3 in November 2021. The announcement came with a teaser video, titled “INTRO: FOUR,” featuring all nine members.
