The original score by Academy- and Grammy-award-winning composers Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for Luca Guadagnino’s 2024 romantic drama film, Queer, is being released on vinyl for the first time. Out on December 12, it is now available for pre-order.
The duo, who comprise the industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails, reunite with the renowned Italian film auteur for their original score on the film. The physical release features the score and the end credits song, “Vaster Than Empires” — a track inspired by William S. Burroughs’ final diary entry and performed by Caetano Veloso and Reznor.

It is pressed on a 180-gram translucent cobalt vinyl and includes printed inner sleeves and a gatefold jacket featuring collage artwork made for the platform. Additionally, the design of this release draws heavily on the signature cut-up technique of Burroughs, who wrote the 1985 novella the film is based. The design features photography and imagery featuring the film’s stars, Daniel Craig and Drew Starkey, along with an excerpt of Burroughs’ handwritten final entry.

Queer is set in 1950s Mexico City and Ecuador and follows an outcast American expat (Craig) who falls for a much younger man (Starkey). Queer was Guadagnino’s second film of 2024 and follows his collaboration with Reznor and Ross, who provided the score for the film Challengers.
Priced at roughly PHP 1,911, fans of the film and the score can pre-order their copies here.
