Plain Sight Coffee officially launches The Edit Collection — a curated lineup of rare and limited beans sourced from around the world.
The headliner of the collection is the roaster’s first Gesha coffee, the Oma Gesha from Ethiopia. Coffee aficionados had their first taste of the Oma Gesha last August 16, 2026, through an exclusive coffee flight prepared by expert brewers Aey Dela Cruz (Origami Cup ’24 Champion), Marion Pepico (2nd Runner Up PHAC 2025), and Rye Uy (3x AeroPress Championship Semi-finalist).
Plain Sight has always believed that specialty coffee doesn’t have to be complicated.
There is a goal to always welcome drinkers to explore its world. The Edit Collection sets the stage for the next chapter in the roaster’s journey. The curated line features rare coffee beans, with every release in the collection becoming an invitation for new and exciting discoveries.
According to Kurt Lee, Plain Sight’s Director of Coffee and Wholesale Operations, The Edit Collection wasn’t created to chase trends. Rather, it harks back to the roaster’s early days — something they now want to share with a wider community.
“Early on in our coffee journey, we tasted our first-ever Gesha coffee; it was a coffee from Panama. And I learned that this Gesha variety originated from Ethiopia. We were actually blown away by what coffee can taste like,” Lee shares.
“It has a remarkable clarity and tastes elegant but not overly delicate. It’s very floral and complex with just so many flavors. It’s not just about releasing famous coffees, but we wanted to release [a truly exciting coffee], and hopefully we can share that with our community,” he adds.
Kurt invites drinkers to try Gesha to better understand why it has become one of the world’s most celebrated coffee varieties. “Don’t approach it expecting it to be better than other coffees. Instead, approach it with curiosity. Pay attention to the aroma, floral-fruity notes, and how the hell coffee can taste like this,” he explains.
Oma Gesha is now available for purchase at the Plain Sight HQ in Mandala Park, Mandaluyong, and on their website.
