The Umbrella Academy returns with creators Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá for a new comic series, The Umbrella Academy: Plan B, set to debut with issue #1 in June from Dark Horse Comics.

Following the setting of the original Netflix series, The Umbrella Academy: Plan B is set to see the Hargreeves siblings facing The Sparrows, their other brothers and sisters, in what’s about to be a superpowered family affair.

The My Chemical Romance frontman said telling the story and reuniting with Bá would be a special part of his life: “This is not only because we would evolve as artists, but because we had the opportunity to grow up over a pretty crazy adventure together.”

Bá adds he hasn’t felt this excited about an Umbrella Academy story since the early days of Apocalypse Suite, the first limited series run of the comic, “This is Umbrella Academy at its finest.”

Last August, Netflix’s television series adaptation ended its four-season run.

Meanwhile, Way is set to embark with My Chemical Romance, for their much-anticipated Long Live The Black Parade Tour in July. The tour will feature the band’s beloved third studio album, The Black Parade, to be played in its entirety.
