We’re goin’ up, up, up, it’s YOUR moment! KPop Demon Hunters Sing-Along is now streaming on Netflix, inviting fans to belt out their favorite tracks with their favorite idol groups HUNTR/X and Saja Boys.

This follows a successful one-weekend run of more than 2,000 screenings in theaters across the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. According to Netflix, over 1,300 of those screenings in the U.S. and Canada were sold out.

During its brief two-day theatrical run, the sing-along release earned around USD 18 million and topped the U.S. weekend box office, a rare victory for the streaming giant.

Since its Netflix debut on June 20, 2025, KPop Demon Hunters has become the platform’s most-watched original animated film ever. By August 25, it had soared past 210 million views, cementing its spot among Netflix’s most-watched English-language titles ever.

Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans and produced by Sony Pictures Animation with Netflix, the film has captured the pulse and beat of its viewers for showcasing K-pop, fandom, and Korean culture as well as their infectious pop songs like “Golden,” “Soda Pop,” and “What It Sounds Like.”

The soundtrack debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 before climbing to No. 2, making it the highest-charting animated soundtrack of 2025 and the first Netflix release in years to hit No. 1 on the Top Soundtracks chart.

“Golden” by HUNTR/X made history as the first K-pop girl group track, real or fictional, to top the Billboard Hot 100 since 2001. Three other songs from the film: “Your Idol,” “Soda Pop,” and “How It’s Done,” also broke into the Hot 100’s Top 10, giving the soundtrack one of the most successful runs since the mid-1990s, with four simultaneous hits on the chart.

It’s no surprise that Netflix is moving quickly to capitalize on the film’s success, with plans for sequels, spin-offs, a live-action remake, and an expanded cinematic universe already in development.
