Mastering the perfect harmony of flavors, community, and Japanese cuisine, crowd-favorite izakaya and restaurant Ebi10 continues to delight customers with its take on authentic Japanese flavors, now closer to home than ever.

Tracing back to their humble beginnings, the journey of Ebi10 began with a craving and a trip to Osaka. Owned by the Viray family, the restaurant’s genesis began from one memorable tempura experience that eventually paved the way for a bigger stage. For them, it has always been about enjoying freshly fried tempura that offers the perfect crispness and taste.

This became a eureka moment that inspired them to bring the same experience home to Manila, offering nothing but approachable and generous flavors for life’s everyday moments.

“After that family trip in Osaka, we wanted to bring that same kind of joy home. Something simple, comforting, and exciting, but also something people could enjoy often, not just on special occasions,” founder and managing partner Mica Viray-Aguila shares.

What started as a humble hole-in-the-wall in Poblacion, Makati City, Ebi10 has grown and expanded into a beloved Japanese comfort food restaurant across Metro Manila and beyond. Like an artist starting with the release of a single, Ebi10 had tempura as its breakout hit. But the success ultimately led to a full menu of tried-and-true Japanese favorites, such as fusion sushi rolls, donburis, bentos, teppanyaki specials, and playful desserts — all perfect for the Filipino taste.

With its menu headlined by its signature tempura, there’s so much more to enjoy in its growing lineup of bentos, rice bowls, ramen dishes, desserts, and even cocktails.

Select branches also elevate the experience with teppanyaki, setting the perfect stage for the grill, which highlights their Seared A5 Hida Wagyu, Prime Ribeye, Shira Ebi Shrimp, Aklan Oysters, and fried rice options. The teppanyaki experience can be enjoyed in more ways than one, whether through à la carte orders, surf and turf meals, or shared group sets.

“We always want Ebi10 to feel generous,” Mica adds. “It is about serving food that people genuinely crave, but also creating a space where they can enjoy small wins, long lunches, family dinners, and everything in between.”
