Chicosci are commemorating the 20th anniversary of their self-titled album with a vinyl release this year.

The news was announced on January 20, 2025 (Tuesday) by local record store PlakaTambay, revealing that the Filipino post-hardcore/emo icons have teamed up with them to exclusively release the record on vinyl for the first time ever.

Initially released on June 6, 2006, Chicosci contains many of the band’s fan-favorite songs, including “Chicosci Vampire Social Club,” “A Promise,” “Seven Black Roses,” “Last Look,” and more. It was the band’s fourth album overall and was the follow-up to 2004’s Icarus.

Remastered for vinyl by Shinji Tanaka, the self-titled record will be available as a 1LP in two color variants: a black-and-white splatter one and a red and black marble one. Notably, both variants will be pressed on premium 180 gram vinyl, with the gatefold cover featuring the album’s original outer and inner artwork reimagined by artist Ryan de Jesus.

Priced at PHP 3,200 per copy, the vinyl is now available to pre-order by messaging PlakaTambay directly.

Notably, the release of Chicosci on vinyl follows its long-awaited digital release last October 18, 2023, when the record became available to stream online for the first time ever. To commemorate this, the band held a special show on the same day as the release, where they played the album in full alongside a number of other songs from their discography.
