Ben&Ben‘s Miguel and Paolo Benjamin are releasing The Traveller Across Dimensions paperback as an expansion of the TTAD universe.
The release follows the launch of character plushies released last year. The twins are set to commemorate the launch and their venture into book writing with a Stage Book Talk on September 12, 10:00 AM, at the Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
The long-running book fair is touted as the country’s biggest book event, gathering bookworms, creators, publishers, educators, and industry professionals.
The talk will highlight the story behind the TTAD universe and will dive into conversations surrounding what inspired the songs in the album and the storyline of the universe, and how the album ultimately became an exercise in world-building.
On another note, they want to share the message of being “present with love,” becoming aware of one’s thoughts and emotions, and learning to move through love and kindness for oneself and for others.
The story follows Liwanag, the titular “Traveller,” who is on a path to get to the Duyan Dimension, where all the Travellers “are said to achieve perpetual inner peace.”
“Liwanag’s journey is like our journey as well. Over the years, we have experienced so many cycles of growth, and also heartaches and challenges that were seemingly impossible to overcome. Each time, we learned lessons that allowed us to move on to the next stage – often with our share of scars, but always with hope that better days are still to come,” the twins share in an official statement.
“Whether you have listened to Liwanag’s songs from the album, or are meeting Liwanag for the first time through this book, we hope that you will always be reminded that the ups and downs on your journey through life can help you grow and thrive. Never forget to relish the present moment and to give yourself more grace,” they add.
The book will be available in limited copies at the 8Letters Bookstore & Publishing booth (Aisle G, Booth 311-312) until September 13 at the MIBF.
For those who won’t make it to the book fair, the paperback will be sold on 8Letters’ official website and on Shopee and Lazada.
