Apple announces a powerful and affordable addition to the iPhone 17 lineup with the iPhone 17e.
At an incredible value, the iPhone 17e affirms fast performance with the latest-generation A19, an advanced camera system with the 48MP 2-in-1, enhanced durability, the magic of MagSafe, and base storage space of 256GB.
The model also features the C1X, the latest-generation cellular modem designed by Apple, which is 2x faster compared to the C1 of the iPhone 16e.
The 48MP Fusion camera extends from the evolution in the iPhone 17 generation, allowing consumers to take stunning photos and high-quality portraits, along with 4K Dolby Vision video. The optical-quality 2x Telephoto makes it seem like you have two cameras in one. For better scratch resistance, the Ceramic Shield 2 is featured in the model’s display, with reduced glare.
Without cellular or Wi-Fi coverage, Apple’s latest satellite features will help users stay connected and access Emergency SOS, Roadside Assistance, Messages, and Find My.
Among the great features is all-day battery life, which is a must for concertgoers who document their favorite moments and performances during shows, and for those who have integrated music listening into their daily lives. The iPhone 17e can charge up to 50 percent in just 30 minutes. MagSafe support now allows charging up to 15W, compared with the iPhone 16e’s 7.5W.
It’s also worth noting that, in line with Apple’s efforts to reach carbon neutrality by 2030, the iPhone 17e does not include a power adapter or EarPods; it comes only with a USB-C charge cable for fast charging, compatible with USB-C power adapters.
The colors come with a premium matte finish in Black, White, and the new Soft Pink. Pre-orders begin on Wednesday, March 4, and the model will be available on March 11, starting at 256GB and at 512GB. Price starts at PHP 44,990.
