Apple unveils the all-new iOS 27 — along with the next generation of Apple Intelligence and Siri AI — during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WDC) on June 9, 2026 (PH Time).
With a focus on protecting the privacy of users, the next generation of Apple Intelligence powers Siri AI and offers helpful new features to apps that are used by users on a daily basis.
Siri AI is the latest version of Siri that is available on the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro. The build draws on personal context understanding to search across messages, emails, photos, and a whole lot more. The new version is more intelligent — packed with expanded child safety features and intuitive new tools.
It can answer questions related to the content shown on a user’s screen or go out to the web to get up-to-date information using broad world knowledge and generate a helpful answer. Additionally, a dedicated Siri app allows users to check old conversations or start a new one, with iCloud syncing conversational history across all devices.
The next generation of Apple Intelligence offers new features for simple everyday use — from editing images in Photos and communicating through Messages and Mail to browsing multiple Safari tabs and using Image Playground.
Users can expect Apple products for 2027 to be more responsive with added improvements. This includes EQ customization for AirPods users to personalize the sound of their choosing. AirPods Pro 3 now has Apple GymKit functionality, so users can sync their heart rate data through the iPhone without compromising audio quality.
iCloud Shared Albums now features cross-platform full-resolution photo sharing, while the Health app comes with added support for perimenopause and menopause in Cycle Tracking.
A new dynamic app grid on the Apple Watch features the icons for five Siri-suggested apps on your device. Users can open a widget in the Smart Stack with a new tap gesture, while a new Find My app now merges Find Devices, Find Items, and Find People.
The Apple Vision Pro now comes with an added feature that turns panoramas into spatial scenes and uses them as personal Environments, along with a 3x faster WiFi connection. Meanwhile, Apple Maps brings an enhanced Flyover experience that merges aerial imagery with AI for more detailed visuals.
For the music lovers out there, Apple Music is going through a makeover, with the redesigned artist pages featuring a Shuffle Play button, minor layout changes, and a new artist name display. The AutoMix feature gets a major update, using AI to craft seamless transitions between songs.
The Now Playing view now loads faster, and streaming performance has been improved for a smoother experience.
The iOS 27 supports the iPhone 11 series, iPhone SE (2nd generation and later), iPhone 12 series (along with the iPhone 12 mini), iPhone 13 series (along with the iPhone 13 mini), iPhone 14 series, iPhone 15 series, iPhone 16 series, and the iPhone 17 series.
However, the new Siri AI and Apple Intelligence are only available on the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16 series, and later models. The iOS 27 will reportedly fully release sometime this September.
