Barbie Almalbis Announces Tokyo Performance
Just over a month after her monumental reunion with her fellow Barbie’s Cradle bandmates, the singer will be performing in Tokyo.

Barbie Almalbis is taking her guitar and songs to Japan for an upcoming performance at World Kitchen Baobab in Tokyo on September 5, 2026.
The Barbie’s Cradle frontwoman announced her Tokyo show on social media. Joining the singer are bassist Karel Honasan and drummer Wendell Garcia.
Set to be a “super intimate musical experience with Barbie and her virtuosic rhythm section,” the show will begin at 8 PM (JST). Tickets can be purchased at the door.
The show also follows another performance by the trio at Gamuso in Asagaya on September 4, 2026
Barbie Almalbis is best known for her lead role in the late-90s alternative rock band Barbie’s Cradle, which recently held a one-night-only reunion concert at the Music Museum last August 1, 2026. The reunion was a significant moment for fans as it brought Almalbis, Garcia, Rommel dela Cruz, and Kakoy Legaspi to share the stage since the group’s disbandment in 2005.
Since then, Almalbis has been releasing music as a solo artist, with her latest album, Not That Girl, being released in 2025. More recently, the singer collaborated with alt-pop band NEW LORE for “your playlist is a lie,” released on May 29, 2026.
