Filipino electronic alt-pop trio NEW LORE have released their newest single, “Blue,” a tender anthem about companionship and simply showing up for someone.
Released on August 28, 2026, the track marks the trio’s second single this month, following “Kingdom,” which arrived on August 4, 2026. It continues NEW LORE’s signature colorful and eccentric visual world, awash in shades of blue and green and showcasing their trendy lyricism.
With the new single, NEW LORE offer assurance to listeners, promising to stay through the difficult moments. Its lyrics reference familiar Gen Z rituals — from meeting at favorite coffee shops and getting tattoos to collecting stickers, journaling, and even picking someone up from their therapist — grounding its message of love in the little ways people choose to be present.
The song features the line, “Beneath my micro bangs, hides macro grief / Yet in my art-hoe coded favorite drip, constantly,” capturing NEW LORE’s modern, playful language.
Composed of vocalist-guitarist Tita Halaman, bassist Kim Escalona, and drummer Carole Lantican, NEW LORE released their sophomore album, GOOD GOOD JUJU, on June 5, 2026.
