Australian multi-hyphenate artist Jack Gray is back with his new single, “Safe Space,” released through Island Records Australia and Universal Music Australia.

The single arrives just ahead of the release of his debut album, Swimming In Jeans, on September 11, 2026.

Produced by Gray himself, “Safe Space” explores the heartbreak of losing trust in someone who once felt like a safe space and home.

Alongside the song’s release comes a music video directed by Amanda Mickwee and produced by Jillian Shae Spaeder. The visual also features choreography by dancers Samantha Bartow and Harley Grey.

Recently, Gray visited UMG Philippines, where he connected with the local music community and explored collaborations with artists from the label’s roster. The visit led to rising pop/R&B singer-songwriter Jenzen Guino joining Gray as a special guest on his Swimming In Jeans album tour across Australia and New Zealand this September.

“Across the album, Gray transforms impulsive decisions, fleeting romances, heartbreak, self-discovery and growing pains into songs balancing playful storytelling with striking vulnerability,” says the press release.
