Jose At Melodiya Hosts Release Party For Upcoming Single Featuring Waiian

Up-and-coming hip-hop and R&B artist Jose At Melodiya is cooking up something new and experimental at Doobies Coffee in Quezon City on August 20, 2026, at 6 PM, with registration opening at 5 PM.

The approaching “Dapit Hapon” Release Party will premiere the music video of Jose At Melodiya’s newest single “Dapit Hapon,” which is set to be an emotional fusion of genres that has since been characteristic of Jose At Melodiya’s artistic identity. Featuring the acclaimed rapper WAIIAN, the single will also add to the growing repertory of “Psychedelic OPM,” an emerging genre within Filipino music that embraces homegrown storytelling and trippy soundscapes. Contributing to the project is producer Artek606, who has worked with artists such as apl.de.ap and the Black Eyed Peas. The track will also serve as the first pre-album single for Jose’s upcoming album KARANASAN.

The release party in Doobies Coffee will offer an intimate and meditative space for attendees to not only catch a glimpse of Jose’s evolving sound, but also to participate through an open mic session, with registration opening at 5 PM. Prior to the music video’s premiere, the audience will get to hear the story behind the artist’s new single. Jose will also give a sneak peek into his upcoming album as he plays a curated set that evening.
