The 25th anniversary vinyl release of Eraserheads’ acclaimed debut album Ultraelectromagneticpop! gets a much-needed reissue.

Cited as one of the most important albums in the history of Filipino music, the new pressing on premium white vinyl is produced by France’s Diggers Factory and mastered by the legendary master engineer Bernie Grundman.

The anniversary reissue ensures a top-tier listening experience while still keeping the timeless sound of the record. In contrast to the original anniversary pressing, limited to only 2,500 copies and now a highly sought-after collector’s item, this offers fans and collectors a more accessible way to have the record in their collection.

“There were only 2,500 copies printed in the first run, and sadly because of the limited nature of the release, it prompted scalpers to resell it at ridiculous prices, which then alienated the true fans of the album,” Offshore Music General Manager Audry Dionisio shares.

“This time around, we wanted to give everybody a chance to own the album at a more affordable price. The timing couldn’t be more perfect since Offshore is celebrating its tenth anniversary. It’s our gift to the fans,” she adds.

Originally released in 1993, Ultraelectromagneticpop! has stood the test of time as a beloved musical project that has spawned some of the band’s fan-favorites and staples, including “Ligaya,” “Maling Akala,” “Toyang,” and “Shirley.”

To date, the album has sold more than 300,000 copies and was certified sextuple platinum (6x) by the Philippines Association of the Recording Industry (PARI).

Dionisio assures that this new edition is more than another repress or reprint, saying, “This time it’s released on white vinyl. It’s more affordable, but more importantly, it’s an album you should own and pass on to your kids. Compared to the first release, this repressing is our gift to those who weren’t able to grab the first one.”

Pre-orders for the repress and exclusive merchandise run from July 1 to August 1. Get your copies here.
