The iconic OPM rock band stages its first show in the region for two special shows on July 26.

The Itchyworms are set to stage their highly successful ‘Akin Ka Na Lang’ Tour in Hong Kong for the first time on July 26, 2026, at The Wanch in Wan Chai.
Scheduled for a 4:00 PM matinee and an 8:00 PM evening show, the live music showcase promises Filipino fans in the region the iconic rock band’s timeless OPM classics, including “Beer,” “Di Na Muli,” and “Love Team.”
“Hong Kong has always been part of the Filipino story,” shares co-lead vocalist Jugs Jugueta. “The fact that it’s so near, yet only a few OPM bands have played there baffles me. The last time I was in Hong Kong was in 2019, so I’m so excited to come back and eat goose with my bandmates.”
For the band, the special show represents the opportunity to reconnect with Filipinos who have carried their music and Filipino music in general overseas. “It’s very humbling that we are able to tour the world, and anywhere we go, there will be Filipinos there,” Jugueta shares. “It is also humbling that multiple generations love The Itchyworms’ songs and continue to sing them everywhere.”
“We don’t know what kind of atmosphere to expect. We really just roll with the punches and give them everything we’ve got,” lead vocalist Jazz Nicolas explains.
For this Hong Kong stop, the band will be joined on stage by Filipino musicians based in the city, such as Jesper Mercado and Rendel Frendol.
