Angela Ken is back and more personal than ever with her six-track extended play (EP), Panahon, released on May 8, 2026, through Tarsier Records.

Panahon delves into themes of acceptance, change, and personal growth, with the songs collectively reflecting the seasons of life. It was preceded by the previously released singles “Kulimlim” in 2024, “Pwede Bang Mamaya?” in 2025, and “baka bukas”, which was earlier in March 2026.

In an interview with ABS-CBN, she shared that the EP revolves around the idea of being “pinagtibay ng panahon” (strengthened by time), exploring different kinds of love as they evolve along with their lessons. The project is intentionally rooted in cohesive storytelling, an idea she had from the very beginning, shaped by her own experiences.

On a hopeful note, Ken aims to deliver a message that it’s okay to be human — to experience setbacks and accept them as part of one’s growth. She adds that the project took two years to make and came from a period of creative frustration as an artist, which ultimately led to something beautiful and inspirational.

Of course, the project wouldn’t have been possible without Ken’s major inspiration—her partner, Patrick—with their seven-year relationship serving as a testament to what the EP encapsulates.
