Billboard Philippines selected BINI –– popularly known as the Nation’s Girl Group –– as this year’s Global Force honoree at the Billboard Women In Music awards, given the group’s immense global appeal, as well as their meteoric rise and incomparable influence within the Filipino music industry, which saw them make history with their recent Coachella 2026 performance. The P-pop octet, comprised of members Jhoanna, Aiah, Gwen, Sheena, Mikha, Maloi, Stacey, and Colet, mark the latest set of homegrown Filipinas to accept the award, following pop icon Sarah Geronimo‘s win of the same award last 2024. Other notable previous Global Force awardees include K-pop superstar JENNIE last 2025, as well as Luisa Sonza, Annalisa, and Tia Ray from 2024.
In the group’s acceptance speech, members Colet and Jhoanna expressed their gratitude on behalf of the whole team, mentioning how such an honor was a surreal experience they can’t believe. “Standing here tonight is something we, BINI only dreamed about. We are deeply honored to be given a chance to represent Filipino artists back home,” said Colet, before continuing, “This is not just a milestone for us, but also a responsibility we carry with so much pride.”
