Olivia Rodrigo‘s you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love era is in full swing.
Following the release of the record’s lead single, “drop dead,” and its music video, two alternative exclusive music videos have also been released on Spotify and Apple Music.
Released on Friday, April 17, 2026, “drop dead” is Rodrigo’s new synth-pop/pop-rock anthem that serves as the lead single of her highly anticipated third record. The song was co-written by Rodrigo, Amy Allen, and collaborator/producer Dan Nigro.
The song made its live debut during Coachella 2026, where Rodrigo was Addison Rae’s surprise special guest at her set during the festival’s second weekend.
Available to watch on Apple Music, drop dead (stalked you on the internet) takes cues from the track’s original visual and the lyric “stalked you on the internet.” The music video was filmed at the iconic Palace of Versailles and is presented from the point of view of a MacBook webcam.
The Spotify-exclusive drop dead (taken that eurostar to france) features the Grammy-winning artist strolling through the streets of Paris with her guitar case in hand. She performs the song against the backdrop of the city’s historic landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe, capturing a travel vlog-esque European tour in the video.
