Regine Velasquez-Alcasid has just accepted her award as Woman Of The Year at Billboard Philippines Women In Music event for 2026.

Presented by the Nation’s Girl Group, BINI, Asia’s Songbird took the stage to acknowledge her fellow awardees and how, like them, music has changed her life.

“It has changed my life in so many wonderful ways. It has helped my family. […] And natulungan ko yung tatay ko na matupad yung pangarap niya because I sang,” she says, teary-eyed.

“Marami pong nagawa ang industriyang ito sa buhay ko so, I’m forever gonna be grateful to this industry. I worked with so many incredible people, I had the privilege of meeting my idols, working with them. I met my best friend and my forever love here in this industry, my one and only love in this industry. So, dahil doon, grabe po yung pagtanaw ko ng utang na loob sa industriyang ito.“
