Carly Hann, known for providing additional vocals on the bridge of the popular The 1975 track “About You,” is making her debut as a solo artist, announcing her debut EP Alone under Dirty Hit and her debut single of the same name.
Hann mainly sings during the bridge of “About You,” which gives a perfect contrast opposite frontman Matty Healy, “And there was something about you that now I can’t remember / It’s the same damn thing that made my heart surrender / And I’ll miss you on a train, I’ll miss you in the mornin’ / I never know what to think about.”
The Canadian-born vocalist has performed with the band live during their ‘At Their Very Best’ and ‘Still… At Their Very Best’ tours, as well as the world’s biggest stages, such as Glastonbury in England and Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The project, produced by Hann’s husband and The 1975’s lead guitarist, Adam Hann, heavily features dream pop influences in the vein of Cocteau Twins and Mazzy Star.
