Mitski – “Dead Women”
Mitski‘s “Dead Women” is another entry to her hauntingly beautiful set of songs, though behind such qualities lies a story that’s as relevant as ever. Taking on the persona of a ghost looking back at how her peers and lovers have remembered her life, the Japanese-American musician cleverly integrates themes of agency and the autonomy of women, or rather, their lack thereof. It’s a devastating anthem that could stand as one of the strongest highlights off her new album, ‘Nothing’s About To Happen To Me’, yet it could also stand alone as a worthy addition to her (already) impeccable discography. – Gabriel Saulog, Lead Writer
Morobeats, Intolerant – “MAGNA”
It has been a hot minute since we’ve heard a real rap and rock crossover that actually slaps hard, so this new version of “MAGNA” by Morobeats — rerecorded with local metal veterans Intolerant — is a welcome treat for fans of both genres. The thick guitar riffage and heavy grooves add a level of grit and brutality to the already vitriolic anti-corruption anthem, which will stay timely for as long as floods continue to happen and the guilty remain free. – Jason Caballa, Managing Editor
ena mori – “19 Underground”
In the past year alone, ena mori released a whopping total of six standout singles and a brand new EP entitled rOe. And it’s clear that she isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Charging into 2026 with full force, the experimental pop musician is back with another electrifying EP, Ore – the “grown-up sister” of rOe, as ena mori herself calls it.
With a noticeably much grittier yet still musically cohesive atmospheric sound when compared to rOe, the new EP has yielded what is perhaps one of ena mori’s most emotionally cathartic songs yet, “19 Underground.” From start to finish, the song leaves you with a warm euphoric feeling in your chest and imbibes you with an energy that either makes you want to take on the dance floor or go on a dreamy night ride with the windows down and the wind in your hair. – Mayks Go, Global News & Events Photographer and Writer
BLACKPINK – “GO”
BLACKPINK return with their third mini-album, Deadline, and its lead single “GO” is nothing short of the reason BLINKs fell in love with the group in the first place. “March to the beat of beat of my drum / ‘Cause when I call you, you’re gonna come / Hold in position, it’s gonna blow / You only move when, when I say so,” the girls sing in the pre-chorus, before the track reaches its tipping point with the chorus. It rightfully serves as the project’s main focus track, elevated by its heavy sci-fi visuals and cinematic tendencies in the music video. – Ralph Regis, Lifestyle and Culture Writer
Bruno Mars – “Cha Cha Cha”
Bruno Mars is as smooth as ever throughout the entirety of his new album, The Romantic, yet the vibes of its second track “Cha Cha Cha” are absolutely undeniable. Beyond its groovy, dance-floor ready nature, it’s also one of those songs that easily sets the mood for a romantic evening — perfect for all the lovers out there. – Gabriel Saulog
DNA – “BINGO”
P-pop girl trio DNA return as they shout it like BINGO! with their comeback single. The track is a follow-up to their debut single, “Don’t Ask Me Why,” released in October 2025. Released under ABS-CBN Music’s StarPop label, this sultry, pop-infused release highlights the vocals of sisters Julia, Tasha, and Ezri as they sing about taking a chance on new love, likening it to the popular game of the same name in Philippine culture. – Ralph Regis
Slayyyter – “OLD TECHNOLOGY”
Slayyyter has been on quite a run with her string of singles leading up to her album, WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA, but the genre-fluidity she’s demonstrated with tracks like “OLD TECHNOLOGY” is something that surely has to be talked about. Blending techno, rap, and electro-pop in one seamless package, it’s a bona-fide banger that’s as addictive as it is chaotic. For a song that’s titled “OLD TECHNOLOGY”, Slayyyter is surely doing something novel with this rollout — further building up the hype and anticipation around her album. – Gabriel Saulog
Anderson .Paak, aespa – “Keychain”
Grammy-winning multi-hyphenate Anderson .Paak is back with another banger in collaboration with a K-pop act, this time joining forces with the “Supernova” hitmakers aespa. Upbeat and funky in a sonically unconventional yet absolutely catchy way, “Keychain” is sweet, hypnotic, fun, and easy to vibe along to – qualities that nicely fit into its role as one of the original songs from Anderson .Paak’s debut film K-POPS!. – Mayks Go
