Fly By Midnight have joined forces with Over October for a brand new version of their song “The Weather.”

The American indie-pop duo surprise released the track on January 7, 2025 (Wednesday), revealing that they have joined forces with the Filipino alternative pop hitmakers to reimagine the song. Dubbed “The Weather (vs. Over October,” the song’s new rendition notably features new verses sung in Tagalog by Over October’s vocalist Josh Buizon. “Love this band and love giving this song a new meaning in Tagalog,” stated Fly By Midnight in an Instagram story announcing the release.

“The Weather” was initially released by Fly By Midnight on April 3, 2024, serving as the second single and the opening track of their latest album, The Fastest Time Of Our Lives, which was released on July 11, 2025.

Notably, the new version of “The Weather” with Over October precedes Fly By Midnight’s first ever concert in Manila, set to happen this January 19, 2026 (Monday) at the Music Museum in San Juan City. The show is part of the Asia leg of the band’s world tour in support of The Fastest Time Of Our Lives, which also includes dates in Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, and Singapore.
