You chose, and we listened.

This past year in music has been an exciting time for releases across Philippine music. From welcoming the finale of SB19’s EP trilogy with Simula At Wakas to the prodigal return of the IV of Spades with their highly anticipated reunion album Andalucia, we’ve witnessed homegrown craft reach new heights. With world tours opening up for Filipino artists and albums dropping everywhere, there truly hasn’t been such an exciting time to be a fan of OPM as it is now.

On that note, Billboard Philippines recently held a poll for the best songs and albums to come out in 2025, where readers could enter their favorite pieces from the year, on November 6, 2025. The poll itself closed on December 12 at 11:59 p.m. PHT.

With that in mind, let’s go through what you chose as your favorite songs and albums of 2025.

Favorite Songs Of 2025

“DAM” — SB19

As a declaration of a will to fight and win, “DAM” emerged victorious from the Best Songs And Albums Of 2025 poll. Debuted as the first pre-release single to come out of the Kings of P-pop’s EP Simula At Wakas, the track not only marked SB19’s first-ever entry on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100, but also broke into international Charts.

“First Luv” — BINI

In their first pre-release single before the release of their latest album FLAMES, BINI bring back the full bubblegum pop effect with their delightfully sweet and nostalgic lyricism. In the music video for this release, as well, the Nation’s Girl Group brings love in all its forms to the forefront – shedding light on platonic, familial, romantic, and self-love.

“kahel na langit” — Maki

As one of the Philippines’ brightest hitmakers of today, Maki has a certain magic in his songwriting that produces tracks that are not only catchy but relatable in ways that we can’t exactly put into words. For those exact reasons, “kahel na langit” has been named one of the strongest hits to have come out of 2025.

“Pahina” — Cup Of Joe

When “Multo” took the world by storm, another hit from the Baguio-bred hitmakers’ Silakbo was quietly brewing in the background. “Pahina,” a track that expresses the pain in holding onto love that’s been lost, is a growing hit under Cup of Joe’s discography and has been marked as a fan favorite for 2025.

“Konsensya” — IV OF SPADES

When IV Of Spades made their long-awaited return as a four-piece band, the Philippine soundscape was taken for a ride. As the third pre-release single for their latest album, Andalucia, “Konsensya” is an example of how the band continues to expand and innovate their sound years past their debut. As a heartfelt and raw look into a fear of infidelity, the track is powerfully emotional in both its lyricism and production.

Favorite Albums Of 2025

Silakbo — Cup Of Joe

Written about the stages of grief, Cup of Joe channeled some of their best songwriting to date in their debut album Silakbo. While the band had already been experiencing a positive trajectory at the start of 2025, it could be stated that the release of this album really kicked off Cup of Joe’s momentous year. With that in mind, it’s no surprise that this record was selected as a favorite of 2025.

Destino — ALAMAT

The Philippine soundscape and Magiliw alike had long been anticipating more music from ALAMAT, and so, with their latest album DESTINO, the multicultural boy group delivered. Delving into all kinds of sounds from Kalye hip-hop to bright pop, the eight-track record is a declaration that ALAMAT have much left to explore, and there’s no stopping their momentum.

KOLORCOASTER — Maki

Exploring various emotions through the interpretation of colors and sounds, Maki’s KOLORCOASTER is a ride that goes beyond the music and leaves an impact that resonates past its playtime. Composed of ten tracks, the record is richly layered in its sonic textures, lyrics, and the like. For that exact reason, KOLORCOASTER has landed a spot as one of the most popular albums to come out of 2025.

FLAMES — BINI

On a sweet note, BINI have proven once again why they’ve been named the Nation’s Girl Group of the Philippines. Igniting their star power across the country with their latest album, FLAMES, the eight-piece girl group delves into a theme of nostalgia, referencing childhood games and first loves as a core motif for the album.

Simula At Wakas — SB19

As the grand finale to their EP trilogy, SB19’s Simula at Wakas has made a lasting impact on the Philippine soundscape. With tracks like “DAM” and “DUNGKA!” breaking into the charts and being performed throughout the globe for their Simula at Wakas World Tour, the record has proven to be one of the strongest extended play releases to have come out this year.
