Spending A Day With Jackson Wang For His Billboard Philippines Digital Cover

It’s one thing to know or hear about how dedicated and passionate Jackson Wang is as an artist. It’s another thing to actually witness it for yourself, up-close and in person. And yet, that’s exactly what happened during his photoshoot for Billboard Philippines‘ November 2025 digital cover.

By now, many of you have most likely read the story and seen the photos at least once. And today we are giving you an exclusive look into how it all came to be.

As soon as Jackson arrived at the Presidential Suite of the Dusit Thani Manila with Team Wang for the shoot, it became clear that it’s wasn’t an understatement to say that his presence possessed something magnetic about it. Jackson had this unassuming quality about him – calm, cool, and collected in the way he politely interacted with everyone there from the get-go. Undeniably, it’s these down-to-earth qualities that definitely drew those present at the shoot into his world. And it was one that allowed him to showcase who he is at his core – a bona fide artist, through and through.

As soon as Jackson finished getting glammed up and dressed for each layout, he wasted not even a second getting in the zone. Effortlessly dishing out pose after pose, he made the shoot go by seamlessly like a breeze with no second wasted. And through all of this, Jackson was heavily involved, not just as the subject for the day but as the renowned creative director many know him to be. From taking charge of reviewing each photo taken to having the final say in each piece of apparel and accessory he donned that day, everything Jackson did was a showcase of his creative freedom and expertise in full display, perfectly balanced with the professionalism and respect he consistently showed to everyone involved.

It was through these instances that he emanated an energy that one couldn’t help but gravitate towards, like watching a famed maestro put together their next composition or seeing a painter slowly bring their magnum opus to life. Coupling this with the more laidback side of his personality, the whole shoot felt light and electric at the same time as those present got to witness his affable nature and innate love for what he does in action.

Indeed, it was inspiring to see him put his artistry in motion from up-close. While many know (and see) him as the charismatic performer and musical visionary on stage, it’s definitely something else to experience the artist that Jackson Wang is from behind the scenes – the true Magic Man himself.
