The Ridleys have just reissued their second album, Until I Reach The Sun.
The newly released reissue of the folk-pop band’s record sees the beloved album remastered and remixed, with both of its original volumes finally compiled onto one record. The album, which spawned the fan-favorite tracks “Summertown,” “Lagoon,” and “Milkyway,” was initially released via two separate volumes in September of 2022 and May of 2023, with the latest reissue also including a brand new bonus track titled “Reprise.”
“[This is] still my favorite Ridleys album to this day,” wrote the band’s frontman, Benny Manaligod, on his official social media accounts regarding the album’s reissue. Alongside his post, he also credited the people involved with the reissue, including Nikhil Amarnani at Line In Records (for recording), Alex Villegas for mixing, and Jan Aries Agadier Fuertez for remastering. Before the reissue’s release, Manaligod made a post on The Ridleys’ social media accounts teasing the remixed and remastered version of the album, which was previously only available on the CD format and has long been sold out.
In other The Ridleys news, the band recently celebrated the second anniversary of Until I Reach The Sun with a special gig at the famed venue Jess & Pat’s last November 14. They also appeared as guest performers at Morissette‘s 15th anniversary concert EMBER, wherein they performed their unreleased collaboration with Asia’s Phoenix for the crowd in attendance.
Additionally, the band dropped their third studio album, All These and More, last year — taking them to new heights with the singles “Be With You,” “Love Is,” and “Euphoria.”
