IV OF SPADES Win Rock Song of the Year For “Aura” At The 2025 Filipino Music Awards

IV OF SPADES have received the Rock Song of the Year Award for “Aura.”
The track was released on July 16, 2025, which marked the indie-alternative four-piece’s long-awaited return as a full unit in almost seven years. It focuses on “searching for meaning and home among the sea of people.” It peaked at the No. 4 position on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 chart (dated August 2, 2025).
Other nominees in the category were “Hari Ng Kapalpakan” by the band’s lead guitarist BLASTER, “Biktima” by Chicosci, “Kandarapa” by Ely Buendia, and “Verdugo” by Juggernaut.
The first-ever Filipino Music Awards is happening today at the Mall of Asia Arena. The event brings together the OPM industry’s biggest artists and influential figures, honoring their contributions to the wider industry at large, presenting a total 20 honors across five major categories and is organized by Modern Media Group Inc. — home to renowned global titles such as Billboard Philippines, Rolling Stone Philippines, Nylon Manila, and Robb Report Philippines — and produced by AGC Power Holdings Corp.
