The 2025 Academy Museum Gala returned for its fifth annual installment on October 19 (PH time) at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles — operated by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences — the organization behind the Oscars.
Gathering Hollywood’s elite, the event dazzled with runway-ready couture and embodied the glitz and glamour of the city and the industry. Beyond its star-studded affair, however, it is a fundraising event after all. The night has raised over USD 12 million to support the museum’s exhibitions, education programs, and public initiatives.
Meanwhile, one of the night’s biggest moments came when Bruce Springsteen was presented with the gala’s inaugural Legacy Award. The rock legend marked the occasion with a solo acoustic mini set, opening with a rare live rendition of his Academy Award–winning song “Streets of Philadelphia” — from the 1993 film Philadelphia — followed by performances of “Atlantic City” and “Land of Hope and Dreams.”
Springsteen’s tribute performance coincided with the upcoming release of his biopic Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, starring Jeremy Allen White — which is set for a November 12, 2025 Philippine release.
Meanwhile, the red carpet offered a spectacle of its own, graced by A-list personalities, celebrated stars, and even acclaimed musicians. Check out some of the artists who lit up the gala — including Olivia Rodrigo, Charli XCX, Selena Gomez, Addison Rae, and more, below.

Olivia Rodrigo graced the Academy Museum Gala red carpet wearing Armani Privé. She pulled a deep cut into the fashion house’s archives, donning a silk-satin skirt from Spring 2005 paired with a beaded gilet, paying homage to the label’s longstanding relationship and history with Tinseltown, as Armani has dressed stars both on and off screen for decades.

With her recent foray into the world of film, Charli XCX may very well become a staple at events like this. She went from performing alongside Lorde in a surprise rendition of “Girl, so confusing” at the Kia Forum in Inglewood to attending the event. She donned a custom Saint Laurent ensemble from the fashion house’s Fall 2025 collection. Styled by Chris Horan, her look featured a sheer lace top paired with a drop-waist leather ball skirt.
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco
