Turnstile are the new face of Fender‘s American Professional Classic series, their all-new line of instruments — comprising nine instruments (six guitars and three basses) which offer “reliability, versatility and performance at the highest level.”
The series emphasizes the vintage aesthetics and modern playability, featuring models such as the Stratocaster, Jaguar, Telecaster, Precision Bass, Jazz Bass, and Mustang Bass. They feature the modern “C”-shaped necks, medium jumbo frets, and ClassicGear Tuners.
More than that, it also features classic Fender colors and perfectly faded player-favorite finishes that are straight out of the ’50s and ’60s. The all-new Coastline pickups feature vintage-style bobbins, cloth-covered wire, and Alnico magnets that deliver a bigger sound and a vintage tone that perfectly suits just about any genre.
Fender believes in the line’s durability for players to last for “night after night” performances. Turnstile, who have been rocking it all out for their ‘Never Enough Tour‘ since September, are known to be physically active when performing. A dependable and durable instrument is needed for such electrifying and high-energy performances as theirs.
“When you’re in a different place constantly, sometimes the most familiar thing is the guitar that you bring every single night,” says guitarist Pat McCrory. “We look for something that sounds the same every time, sounds exactly how you want it, but also has versatility because spaces change.”
He adds that having durability and flexibility is important for performances that sometimes are set up outdoors, venues with sometimes noisy lighting, and in different environments.
The American Professional Classic series ranges from PHP 87,000 to 93,000 for the guitars and is priced at PHP 93,000 for the basses.
Founded in Fullerton, California, by Clarence Leonidas “Leo” Fender in 1946, Fender has grown into the world’s largest guitar manufacturer and has produced a wide array of instruments, like acoustic guitars, bass amplifiers, and public address equipment.
