Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for the highly anticipated film adaptation of People We Meet on Vacation, based on Emily Henry’s bestselling novel — set to Robyn‘s “Hang With Me.” The film premieres on Netflix on January 9, 2026.
The track, from the Swedish singer-songwriter’s sixth studio album Body Talk Pt. 2, peaked at No. 10 on Billboard’s U.S. Dance Club Songs chart. It immediately starts playing at the start of the teaser with Emily Bader jamming passionately to the track at the airport, with Tom Blyth standing behind her watching.
The film follows long-time best friends who reunite every summer despite living in different cities. Though they have contrasting personalities, Poppy’s free-spirited spontaneity versus Alex’s love of routine, their friendship is tested as they begin to wonder if it could become something more. Directed by Brett Haley (Hearts Beat Loud, All the Bright Places), the ensemble cast includes Sarah Catherine Hook, Jameela Jamil, Lucien Laviscount, Lukas Gage, Miles Heizer, Alice Lee, Tommy Do, Alan Ruck, Molly Shannon, and Michael A. Newcomer.
Robyn is known for her upbeat, dance-driven sound, with the 2010 single, “Dancing On My Own,” being regarded as her signature song. It was covered by Calum Scott when he performed on Britain’s Got Talent in 2016, and became a sleeper hit on its own.
