Martin Nievera, Troy Laureta Release Reimagined Version Of Ryan Cayabyab’s ‘Kay Ganda Ng Ating Musika’
The duo reimagined the National Artist for Music’s Metropop-winning song.

Filipino music legend Martin Nievera and Filipino-American producer Troy Laureta released a new rendition of National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab’s “Kay Ganda Ng Ating Musika” (Our Music Is Beautiful).
Released last October 13, Nievera and Laureta’s version features a new arrangement of the song with electric guitar riffs, electronic drums, and rich harmonies.The song was Cayabyab’s submission to the first Metro Manila Popular Music Festival, where it won the first prize. It was originally performed by Hajji Alejandro.
In an Instagram post announcing the release of the song, Laureta wrote, “I wanted to start my third album journey with a powerful message. What is [more] powerful than stating the truth. ‘Kay Ganda Ng Ating Musika!’ How beautiful OUR music is! Thank you to my Hawaii fam and always supportive Tito Martin for blessing me with your gift! It has been a dream of mine to collaborate with you all my life. You are my dad’s favorite singer, and through the years of knowing you po, I know why. I love you Tito. You are always and forever will be the Philippine Concert King!”
“Kay Ganda Ng Ating Musika” is the first single off Laureta’s upcoming album. His previous collaborations include work with Ariana Grande, David Foster, Andrea Bocelli, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Steven Tyler, and The Pussycat Dolls.
