Look out, here comes Spider-Man! Filming has begun for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and a behind-the-scenes video has been released, giving us a glimpse of Tom Holland’s new suit, a familiar tune, and a brand new era for Spidey.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day – Day One on Set is a behind-the-scenes look at the movie’s production, and features Michael Giacchino’s “Arachnoventure,” which played during the final moments of Spider-Man: No Way Home. The track plays as Peter Parker creates a new Spider-Man suit while continuing his life as a vigilante superhero, all while the world forgets who he is.
The video gives us a glimpse of Holland being on set, meeting director Daniel Destin Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), and wearing the new suit made for the film.
“You know, it’s funny putting the suit on. It feels different this time, somehow. It’s also the first time we’ve ever had fans on set for day one, so it’s really exciting to share this with them,” Holland says. The video ends with him enthusiastically shouting, “That felt sick.”
The suit features an updated, larger Spider chest symbol that closely resembles those on Tobey Maguire’s and Andrew Garfield’s suits in their respective versions of the character.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day serves as the second film in Phase Six, following The Fantastic Four: First Steps. While plot details remain under wraps, returning cast members include Zendaya as Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson and Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds. They will be joined by newcomers Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas, while previous MCU stars return: Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Michael Mando as Mac Gargan/Scorpion, and Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock / Daredevil.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released in US cinemas on July 31, 2026, and possibly on July 29 in the Philippines.
