Today (August 1, 2025), two powerful female voices in the global music industry, TWICE and Saweetie, have debuted their collaborative piece entitled “superstars.” Bright and colorful with a bouncy bubblegum pop beat, the track is written entirely in English as the latest addition to the K-pop group’s roster of international collaborations.
The track was previously announced a week ago, when Saweetie posted a video of her dancing to the song with the girl group in the JYP Entertainment practice room. Additionally, with the song’s release today, the femcee posted, “‘superstars’ with TWICE is out now, off my new project HELLA PRESSURE. Thank you for all the support ONCE.”
“superstars” is one of the singles on Saweetie’s latest extended play entitled HELLA PRESSURE, which was also released today. Other than the collaborative piece with TWICE, the EP contains five songs – one of them being a pre-release track where she worked with J White Did It entitled “boffum.”
This follows the release of TWICE’s latest album THIS IS FOR, which came out on July 11 of this year. As it currently stands, the album’s title track sits on the No. 45 position of the Billboard Philippines’ Hot 100 Chart (dated August 2, 2025). Additionally, the nine-piece hold two more entries with their work on the KPop Demon Hunters Soundtrack, “Strategy” at No. 50 and “Takedown” at the No. 55 spot.
