September Fever, recognized as “Cebu’s premier independent music festival,” is finally back for its eighth year.

First announcing its return last April 28, 2025, the festival this year aims to “bring together independent acts from the Visayas and Mindanao regions in the Philippines with rising artists from Manila, Singapore, and South Korea.” Most notably, this will be the first time September Fever will be including international artists in its lineup of performers. “We’re excited to announce that on our eighth year, we’re bringing together some of the best independent acts across Asia to Cebu for a weekend of cultural exchange, good music, and even greater experiences,” the festival stated in one of its announcement posts.

Headlining September Fever 2025 are Singaporean indie rock band Subsonic Eye, Cebu-based R&B musician and influencer Zeke Abella, South Korean indie pop trio Hathaw9y, as well as a reuniting Honeydrop — one of Cebu’s veteran indie rock bands. With them are South Korean math rockers Dabda, Singaporean rapper San the Wordsmith, as well as a special collaboration set from singer-songwriter and violinist Muri and DJ and producer crwn.

Sharing the stage with all of these acts are a number of rising acts from Visayas and Mindanao. Namely, this includes folk singer-songwriter Vincent Eco, Bisaya hip-hop group Bakeshopboyz, surfpop band Sansette, Bisaya R&B artist Jericho Streegan, Davao City jazzpop band Cerise, Cagayan de Oro-hailing blues fusion band Evita, and more.

September Fever 2025 is officially happening on September 6, 2025 (Saturday) at Unity Coffee and Vinyl in Cebu City. Alongside this, special pocket shows are also expected to be held on September 7 (Sunday), which promises “different music shows and workshops around Cebu City.”

Tickets to the festival are priced each at PHP 550 (Online Sale) and at PHP 650 (Walk-Ins) and are now available here

“It’s exciting to have 2025 as our first year to bring in international acts to the September Fever stage,” said September Fever co-direcor Karl Lucente in a press statement when asked about the curation and significance of the festival’s 2025 iteration. “We’ve been actively engaging in the music export scene over the past year through our participation in AXEAN Music Festival and Bangkok Music City. This lineup reflects that.”

“We wanted to create a space where we could bring together independent acts from the Visayas and Mindanao as well as Manila and the greater Asia, adds September Fever co-director Kara Angan. “It’s our hope that we can create a night where we celebrate our common love for music, whatever the language.”
