The Bootleg Beatles, the world’s premier Beatles tribute band, are searching for their new Paul McCartney, after the band’s very-own “Macca” and bassist Steve White is retiring from full-time retiring.

The current band lineup includes Stephen Hill as George Harrison, Gordon Elsmore as Ringo Starr and Paul Canning as John Lennon.

On Instagram, they shared the statement, saying, “He has been an outstanding key contributor to this wonderful BB ‘institution’ and we all wish him well with his future musical projects. So now dear friends, the search is on for a new Paul.”

The band’s potential new McCartney must have the “look, the voice, bass guitar and keyboard skills” of the music legend. Those interested can send their CV, photos, videos, and audio clips here.

The tribute band is scheduled to perform at Glastonbury Festival‘s Acoustic Stage on June 30 (3:00 AM PH Time). This will mark White’s final live performance with the rest of the tribute band.

The Bootleg Beatles visited Manila for their 44th Anniversary Tour at the Theatre at Solaire last October 2024.

With over 4,500 live shows around the world under their belt, The Bootleg Beatles have been around since 1980 by founding members: Neil Harrison as John Lennon, André Barreau as George Harrison, David Catlin-Birch, as Paul McCartney, and Jack Lee Elgood as Ringo Starr.
