On this episode of Billboard Philippines Volumes, Raveena reveals what helps her have a balanced and disciplined life as an artist who is constantly on the go.

“You have to commit all the way. You have to kind of form your lifestyle around being an open vessel,” the “Sweet Time” R&B hitmaker states when asked what keeps her going to go all out with her craft and her life. She further shares that in the making of her latest album Where the Butterflies Go in the Rain, she “really got attuned to what that meant.” She reveals that she became more “disciplined about [her] relationship with [her] phone and with social media,” as well as “being disciplined about who [she’s] surrounding myself with, my routine, my time.”

In line with this, when asked what advice she would give to those who are going through a lot in life right now, she shares how, upon talking with her therapist, the importance of “creating a sense of routine everyday. “Like, ‘I’m gonna have an hour to myself in the morning and an hour to myself at night.’ Like, that’s personally what I need. That hour is mine,” she expounds, revealing that sticking to her own routine has immensely helped her. “I’m not gonna go on my phone, I’m gonna meditate, I’m gonna take care of my body, I’m gonna stretch, I’m gonna nourish myself, I’m gonna do my skin care…and put on music.”

Alongside this, Raveena also reveals how food has been the thing that makes her happiest the most recently, especially in relation to the “tough star to the year” she has had so far, especially “with the [Los Angeles] fires and with a family member’s illness.” “I have a lot of chaos and a lot of hectic responsibilities, and a lot of travel. My life is a lot. It’s not simple right now,” she reveals. “So, those little moments when I can just, like, enjoy the local cuisine somewhere and fully appreciate that and be, like, ‘Wow, this is what this country is known for. I can’t get this anywhere else. I can have it right here.’ That’s what makes me happy.”

In addition to this, the Indian-American R&B star also discussed the deep connection she has forged with her fans over the years, especially thanks to the meditation sessions she offers before her shows. Meanwhile, she also looked back on her first memories with music as a kid and recalls making her first songs, as well as discussing her upcoming touring plans.
