Japanese boy group IMP. have finally released their debut record, DEPARTURE.
The septet dropped three formats of the record, namely Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B, and the Standard Edition. The limited editions featureFeatureA collaboration in which one artist appears on another's track, usually credited with the abbreviation feat. Features quickly introduce performers to each other's audiences, and a well-chosen guest can liftGo to Feature Glossary 12 tracks, with additional singles like “CRUISIN,” “IMP.,” “SWITCHing,” “I Got It,” and their English track, “FLOW.” The standard edition includes 15 tracks with CD-exclusive songs.
IMP. debuted in 2023 with the release of “CRUISIN.” The single debuted at the No. 2 spot on Billboard Japan‘s Hot 100, at has over five million streams as of today. Prior to the release of DEPARTURE, they dropped a six-track EPEPShort for extended play, a collection of songs longer than a single but shorter than a full album, typically containing three to six tracks. Artists use EPs to introduce theirGo to EP Glossary titled SWITCHing / I Got It, which features additional tracks like “ROCKIN’ PARTY,” “SHAKE ME UP,” “DO IT!!!” and “To U.”
The group are set to hold their first solo arena concert at Tokyo’s Ariake Arena this June 13 and 14. Tickets for the concert range from JPY 9,000 (PHP 3356.47) to JPY 9,500 (PHP 3542.94). Tickets are available via Tobe here.
