It’s time to go on an adventure as Armi Millare is back with a new single.

On May 3, Millare unveiled the brand-new track, entitled “I Wanna Go” through short visualizer on her social media. A song that talks of one going to places where they can be themselves, the new single follows “Whatever”, released last February and “Roots”, released last October 2023. All aforementioned songs are set to be included in Millare’s solo album entitled South Node, to be released some time this 2024.

South Node is set to be Millare’s first full-length release as a solo artist. In an exclusive interview with Billboard Philippines, MIllare revealed that she almost gave up on doing music following her exit from UDD (formerly Up Dharma Down) in 2021. In the interview, she stated that she thought that she “just didn’t fit into [music] anymore” but often found herself asking “‘Then, what am I going to do?’ This is all I’ve done.” However, expounding upon this, she stated, “Now that I’m doing this again after a considerable amount of time, thinking that this is something I want to be for the rest of my life, I feel very at one in my craft…I have a full sense of my self-concept and I will treat it a lot like life should be treated — with discernment and still being able to make peace with the unpleasant bits.”

The new album, which she worked on in Oslo, sees her teaming up with with Norwegian duo Jonny Sjo, Kim Ofstad of D’Sound and Bernt Rune Stray.
